Incold celebrates 30 years of history, innovation and people

On 19 June 2026, Incold, an Arneg Group company specialising in the manufacture of cold rooms, celebrated its first 30 years in business together with its employees, partners and their families. It was a moment of sharing and gratitude, designed to thank all those who, through their commitment and passion, have contributed to the company’s growth over the years.

To mark this important anniversary, Filippo Finco, CEO of Incold, looks back in an exclusive interview on the most significant milestones of an entrepreneurial journey characterised by challenges, innovation and successes.

Q: It has been 30 years since Incold was founded. What does this milestone mean to you and your entire team?

A: For me, this anniversary represents the fulfilment of a dream I have nurtured with determination for many years. For our team, it is recognition of the commitment, passion and professionalism that have made this journey possible, as well as an opportunity to continue to grow within an international organisation, part of a major group such as Arneg.

Q: Is there a particular memory that you cherish?

A: I am always focused on the present and the future. I have many memories of the past, and each one represents a significant piece that has helped to piece together the puzzle of our history.

I am pleased to share with you two moments that I consider particularly significant in my professional career at Incold. The first was the sale of our first distribution centre to CADORO, a long-established supermarket chain in the Veneto region. It was a project which, for its time, was extremely complex and ambitious, featuring a large-scale steel structure.  The second was the sale and construction of the ARRIGONI dairy, the world’s largest producer of Taleggio cheese.

I still remember the excitement I felt when I returned to the company with the signed contracts. These were two challenges which, up until that point, had seemed almost impossible for a company of our size. We tackled them with determination and brought them to a successful conclusion, much to our satisfaction. These successes marked a crucial milestone in Incold’s growth, paving the way for our entry into the turnkey industrial complex sector.

Q: What values guide your work as CEO of Incold?

A: I have held this role since Incold was founded, thirty years ago. Throughout this journey, I have always drawn inspiration from the values and principles of the Arneg Group, encapsulated in the concept of ‘dreaming with courage, ethics and imagination’. These are values that have guided every decision I have made and which continue to serve as a guiding principle in the way I approach my work and look to the future.

Q: What role did the parent company play in Incold’s growth?

A:  In the past, Arneg has been the key driver of Incold’s development. Today, as well as generating around 10 per cent of our global turnover, it continues to offer us significant growth opportunities, both in domestic and international markets.

Q: In your opinion, what is the key to success for a brand with such a long history?

A: Knowing how to keep a constant eye on the market and ensuring that no opportunity goes unexplored.

Innovation has always been an integral part of our journey. Over time, we have developed three distinct business units within a single organisation, creating genuine start-ups dedicated to different yet complementary products and markets.

We started with commercial cells, before expanding into panels and industrial cells, cold store doors and high-speed doors, becoming a benchmark not only for the market but also for the other companies within the Arneg Group.

Q: How do you envision the company’s future over the next 10 years?

A: My team and I will work to ensure that Incold’s future is ever more secure and full of opportunities. Planning for a ten-year horizon is complex, given the speed at which markets and technologies are evolving.

Our ambition is to consolidate Incold’s role as a benchmark in the sectors in which we operate. We look to the future with confidence, aware that tomorrow’s results are built on the choices we make today.

Q: A message you would like to share with customers, employees and partners to mark this important anniversary.

A: I would like to point out that success requires commitment, sacrifice and the ability to pick yourself up after every setback. The true value of our work is measured by customer satisfaction: this is the most important form of recognition and the motivation that drives us to improve every day.
