On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its founding, Constantin Iancu — CEO of Oscartielle Est Europa — shares, in an exclusive interview, the most significant moments of an entrepreneurial journey filled with challenges and achievements.

 

Q: It has already been 25 years since Oscartielle Est Europa was founded. What does this milestone represent for you and your team?

A: This is more than just a celebration — for me, it symbolizes an entire career. I started here 25 years ago as the very first employee of Oscartielle Est Europa. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my team: people who bring passion, commitment, and dedication to their work every single day.

Q: Is there a particular memory that holds a special place in your heart?

A: There are many, but some moments are truly unforgettable. In 2003, we produced our first serve-over counter entirely in Romania — a key milestone that marked the beginning of our autonomy and identity as a company. In 2005, we moved into our current premises in Cluj-Napoca.

In 2010, we launched the production of remote serve-over counters, connected to external systems — a genuine innovation for the local market. And in 2017, we completed the expansion and renovation of our plant.

One episode I recall with particular pride was taking part in a public tender, where I found myself presenting a bid right in front of the man who would later become President of Romania.

Q: You have been leading Oscartielle Est Europa for 12 years. What values guide you every day?

A: The pillars that have always guided me are integrity, responsibility, and a relentless desire to grow. I strongly believe in honesty and transparency in professional relationships. I approach every task with seriousness and commitment, always seeking new opportunities to learn and improve.

Mutual respect and collaboration are essential to me: only through a united and motivated team can we achieve great things. Contributing to collective success is what brings me the most satisfaction.

Q: What role has the parent company played in the development of Oscartielle Est Europa?

A: Arneg has always been a fundamental point of reference, supporting us technically and investing in technology and equipment.

Q: In your opinion, what is the key to success for a brand with such a long history?

A: I believe the real secret lies in finding the right balance between tradition and innovation. It's vital to stay true to the values that made us recognizable and reliable, while also being able to anticipate and adapt to market changes, technological advancements, and evolving consumer habits.

The success of a strong brand also stems from a clear identity, consistently high product quality, and the ability to build authentic, long-lasting relationships with customers, collaborators, and partners.

Q: How do you envision the company’s future over the next 10 years?

A: Over the next decade, I foresee continued consolidation of our market presence, along with ongoing adaptation to technological evolution and shifting consumer trends.

Digitalization and sustainability will be central themes: two strategic pillars in which we will keep investing, to innovate our processes, products, and service models — always with the aim of offering increasingly efficient, responsible solutions tailored to our customers' needs.

Q: Is there a message you would like to share with clients, employees, and partners on this important occasion?

A: I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all the colleagues who, with dedication and professionalism, have contributed to the company's success over the past 25 years. A special thank you also goes to our partners and suppliers, who have accompanied us on this journey, sharing both the challenges and the accomplishments.
