To mark Pink October, the month dedicated to breast cancer prevention and awareness, Arneg is renewing its commitment by joining the ‘Free Mammography and Ultrasound’ initiative, now in its second year and organised in collaboration with WelfareCare.
Through this initiative, the company offers its female employees an important opportunity for prevention and promotes a culture of health and well-being in the workplace.
On 13 and 14 October, the WelfareCare mobile clinic stopped at Arneg's headquarters, allowing all employees who signed up for the initiative to undergo a complete breast screening free of charge directly at their workplace.
Armando De Crescenzo, Human Resources Director at Arneg, emphasises:
“Offering our female employees access to free screening means promoting a culture of prevention and reaffirming Arneg's commitment to people. It is a concrete gesture that reflects our values: putting people first, sustainability, ethics and innovation.”
Massimo Forcolin, QHSE Director at Arneg, adds:
"We chose to renew our participation in this initiative, now in its second year, because we believe in the value of prevention. Bringing the clinic directly to the company is a simple and concrete way to remove obstacles and make health truly accessible. This year's high turnout shows how much our colleagues recognise the importance of initiatives like this. In total, 130 breast examinations were carried out, specifically 45 mammograms and 85 ultrasounds.”
Rosangela Pestrichella, Administrative Director of Arneg, concludes:
"As a woman, I deeply believe in this initiative. Giving women the opportunity to have a mammogram during working hours means putting health first, but also sending a clear message: prevention must not remain just a slogan, it must become a concrete action. Arneg wants to do its part, every day."
Thanks to this initiative, Arneg renews its commitment to promoting a caring, aware and responsible working environment, where people's well-being is an integral part of the corporate culture. In this context, prevention is not just a gesture of care, but a concrete form of social sustainability: a way of taking care of people today, looking confidently to tomorrow.
