THE RESTORATION OF THE SALA DEI 40 IN PADOVA IS COMPLETED

A valuable initiative to protect Italy's important artistic heritage

The restoration of the paintings and labarums decorating the Sala dei 40 in Palazzo Bo, home of the University of Padua, has been completed. The work took almost a year, from October 2020 to September 2021.

On Wednesday 29 September at 10 a.m. Rosario Rizzuto, Rector of the University, opened the inauguration.

At the end of the ceremony, the two donor walls were unveiled, listing the many contributors to this project, including Arneg, which supported the restoration of the two paintings depicting Constantino Cantacuzino, a Romanian philosopher and man of letters, and Gaspar Bauhin, a Swiss anatomist and botanist.

An exceptional fundraising effort that has almost reached the €200,000 mark, thanks to the contributions of individuals, companies, professional orders, service clubs, embassies and consulates.
